St Mary’s Books - dealing in antiquarian, rare and collectable books - began in 1971 in Leicester, founded by the late Godfrey Tyers and Patricia Tyers.
In 1987 the business relocated to St. Mary's Hill, Stamford, its current location. The shop is situated in the shadow of the church of St. Mary the Virgin, hence the title of "St. Mary's Books".
The business has continued and grown over the years and is still run by the Tyers Family.
