St Mary’s Books - dealing in antiquarian, rare and collectable books - began in 1971 in Leicester, founded by the late Godfrey Tyers and Patricia Tyers.

In 1987 the business relocated to St. Mary's Hill, Stamford, its current location. The shop is situated in the shadow of the church of St. Mary the Virgin, hence the title of "St. Mary's Books".

The business has continued and grown over the years and is still run by the Tyers Family.

We were one of the first dealers to have an online presence, with our own site launching in late 1998. We have sold books via the internet for 16 years and pride ourselves on the service and standard offered to online customers.
